Duplicity: Julia Roberts, Clive Owen
Hubby and I rented Duplicity this weekend. The movie was pretty slow paced and didn’t really keep hubby’s attention at all. It was also quite confusing in the beginning. It is constantly going back and forth between the past and the present. I did however enjoy the movie moderately. I doubt that I would watch it again.
I know that my husband would not watch it again. He was bored and confused because he wasn’t paying very close attention.
We are both definitely into more high paced action and this was not.
Black Gold Only on truTV Wednesday 10/9c
A roughneck to me is a strong man with a very labor intensive job. He is probably a man who is loud and maybe a little overbearing. A man who has colorful language and isn’t at all afraid to speak his mind. He is a very hard working man.
Tonight as I watched the preview for Black Gold, an oil rigging series, I saw the roughneck I was imagining . The truTV BLACK GOLD characters were most definitely strong, hard working men. From the short preview they looked to be a very interesting bunch and they reminded of the guys from the movie Armageddon. Except that Armageddon was only a movie with actors being paid to act like roughnecks. However these guys are the real deal. They are a group of the toughest guys from West Texas who have just 50 days to drill four back breaking holes. I am wondering if they will get along long enough to complete the job.
This show is from the creator of Ice Road Truckers and Deadliest Catch. If you have watched either show you know how intense they can be. My hubby loves Ice road Truckers!
Wednesday nights at 10/9c on truTV, BLACK GOLD will air it’s second season. Black Gold is all about Real Men doing a real hard job and doing their best to not make any mistakes along the way that could cost them their jobs or their lives.
Heidi Montag Performs on Miss Universe 2009 (Video)
So last night I am browsing through the channels since I have pretty much nothing to watch right now. Really can’t wait for new shows to start! Anyway so I come across the Miss Universe pageant.
Now when I was younger I totally loved watching Miss America or any other pageants on t.v., but I haven’t watched one in a long time. Well I was so lucky that I turned it on right in time to see Heidi Montag’s hideous performance. I will start off by admitting I had absolutely no idea who the girl was, I mean I have seen her name on tabloids but I never cared enough to figure out what she does.
Anyway back to her performance, I was really embarrassed for her. I actually think it might have been worse than Britneys comeback performance on the 2007 VMA’s and if you saw that then you know how bad it was! So Heidi was so obviously lip synching but what was worse was her serious lack of dance skill. It was so pitiful that she would have been better off not dancing. And for the poor back up dancers, I am sorry they had to endure that.
After the performance I decided I had no interest in watching the show and changing the channel. But for anyone who wants to know, Stefanía Fernández, Miss Venezuela won!

Flash Forward Series Premiere 9/24/09
I am really anticipating this new series on ABC! Flash Forward looks like it will definitely be my type of show. Although I do get nervous when a new series premieres.
I still haven’t gotten over the fact that Daybreak was canceled back in 2007. I loved that show! I was totally engrossed in the whole scenario and was waiting weekly to see the next episode. What makes it worse is that they showed the rest of the episodes on ABC.com and I didn’t realize it until it was way too late. But hey, I am not really too bitter! 
Harper’s Island was another one that I was biting my nails every week. I was so afraid that it was going to get dropped and then I would have had to cry. Thankfully though week after week it aired and I didn’t have to get angry or cry.
Flash Forward will premiere on 9/24/09 at 8/7c and I will definitely be recording it on my DVR so I can check it out. There are so many great show coming out I am hoping my DVR can handle it!
