So You Think You Can Dance: Brandon and Ariana Eliminated

October 28, 2009 · Posted in entertainment · Comment

The show started off with 2 less contestants, Billy Bell left due to an illness and Noelle Marsh injured her knee.  If Noelle can dance next week she is still in but if she can’t she is out.

Right off the bat I did not enjoy the tappers in the opening when the announce each dancers name.  It just seemed weird and distracting to me.

The beginning of the show seemed a little boring for me.  I know this is the first episode but I was beginning to wonder if anyone was going to wow me.

My favorite dances of the night were danced by Kathryn and Legacy, Ellenore and Ryan and Mollee and Nathan.  There were also a few individuals I really enjoyed but their partners not so much.  I don’t have everyones names in my head yet so I will just leave it at that.

Ultimately Brandon and Ariana were eliminated.

Double Elimination on Dancing with the Stars this week

I have to confess I found myself to be a little bored this week with all the Waltzing.  I did enjoy the couples who danced the Jitterbug.  However I fast forwarded a little more than usual.

My favorite couple is still Mya and Dmitry and it is not because I am a Mya fan.  I had no idea who Mya was prior to this show.  Next in line I think is Donny and Kim and Joanna and Derek.

The two Eliminated couples last night were Melissa and Mark as well as Louis and Chelsie.  Hated for Chelsie to go, absolutely adored her in So You Think You Can Dance.

I also just realized that Julianna Hough is not dancing this year, what is up with that?

Ondemand

For those of you who have read my blog you probably already have realized that I have a busy schedule that doesn’t allow me to watch t.v. when I want to.  Seriously who doesn’t have a busy schedule these days.  Between kids, the house, the hubby, shopping, bill paying, laundry, etc…life is busy.   Television is my guilty pleasure but I very rarely have a chance to watch a show when it is actually playing.

I really could not make it without my DVR or On Demand.  It allows me to watch all my favorite shows and movies at a time when it is convenient for me.  Plus I get to skip all the commercials which saves me even more time.  Charter On Demand has over 6,000 movies and shows you can watch any time you want to.  Also many of your favorite television shows are available the day after they air on t.v. for free.

If you are like me and having such flexible television programming would make your day much smoother then head on over so you can learn more at charter.net/ondemand. I bet you will be surprised at all of the programming that is available.  Everyone in the family will be pleased.

Dina Eliminated from Biggest Loser

October 23, 2009 · Posted in entertainment · Comment

This week I didn’t find the episode to be super exciting.  I think I spent more time thinking about how I want Tracey to be kicked off than anything.

Sadly this week Jillian’s team/black team lost the weigh in.  I was hoping they would win and then Tracey would go home.  No such luck!  Instead Dina was sent home.  I have to agree with what Dina said, Daniel should be the one to go home, he has already had this chance once.

The Forgotten: River John

October 23, 2009 · Posted in entertainment · Comment

A man is dumped at a storm drain and The Forgotten Network set out to figure out who he is.

At the scene a notebook is found that is very water damaged, Alex takes it to a friend to see if she can recover any of the pages.  Only one page is recovered and it is a bunch of addresses.  The addresses are far apart so the team decided he must have been driving, but where is his car?

They head to the impound lot and search for a car that looks like someone has been living out of it.  Alex finds the one he is sure must have belonged to the man.  The car however belongs to someone else and it leads them to a man who sold John Doe the car when his died.

They get enough info to search for the man and finally discover that his name is Henry.  They go to Henry’s home and meet his next door neighbor who tells them that Henry was abusive to his wife and that his wife had to leave to protect her daughter.

They speak to local police who do not believe that the accusation of abuse was true.  They say that Henry was desperate to find his daughter.  The officer also tells them that Henry had received a voicemail that he had asked him to trace before he left.

It was a call made from a payphone and it was his daughter asking “Daddy it’s me. I need you. Please help me.”

At this point Alex is determined to find this little girl.  They start searching all the addresses that Henry had written down looking for his wife.  They finally find her at her boyfriends house.  She is drugged up and he is holding her at gun point.  Police storm the rear of the home and take down the boyfriend.  Alex finds the girl hiding in a chest scared to death.
