Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel
We have a family tradition to head to the movie theater Christmas night and this year we headed out to see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel. From someone who grew up watching the Chipmunks cartoons all the time I loved it! Actually we all really had a good time. It was so funny. They portrayed the Chipettes very well.
As I watched it I remembered the cartoon episode where the Chipmunks and the Chipettes had their singing competition. The movie brought back a lot of memories.
Old Dogs: Robin Williams, John Travolta
Hubby and I had a date Friday night and wanted to go to the movies. There wasn’t much playing that we were interested in so we opted for Old Dogs. This was definitely a good family movie, it’s a shame our girls weren’t with us because they would have loved it.
It was funny, quite funny actually, we laughed a lot. The best part was that it was so family friendly!! Very clean, I don’t even recall if there were any curse words or not. So if you are looking for a movie that mom, dad and the kids can enjoy maybe you should check this one out.
Julie Benz Leaving Dexter
I’m not sure if you would really call it leaving, from what I have read Julie Benz didn’t know until near the end that she would be killed off in the finale. If you were like me you were completely shocked to see Dexter find Rita dead. I knew he would catch Trinity and kill him. However I had no clue that Rita was a goner.
I know some fans do not like Rita, I actually liked Rita and Dexter together. I am wondering how next season will work. Will Cody and Astor stay with their Grandparents? How will Dexter raise Harrison alone and continue to do his daytime and nighttime work? I hate that we have to wait until next fall to find out.
Russell Wins So You think You Can Dance
I really enjoyed Tuesdays nights So You Think You Can Dance. I think there were a lot of great performances. Kathryn was amazing, as well as Russell. I absolutely loved seeing Ryan and Ashleigh dance together. It actually made me tear up. As the night came to an end I was seriously hoping that Kathryn would win and Russell would get runner up.
Maybe I should have bothered to vote, but I doubt my votes would have changed anything. Not only did Kathryn not win, but she didn’t get runner up either. That was a total bummer for me. Kathryn was absolutely my favorite! That being said, Russell was my second favorite and the fact that he was a street dancer with little to no training he adapted to the show so wonderfully. There was nothing that he was given that he didn’t excel at.
So if someone else had to win I am glad that it was Russell, he deserved it!
Rambler’s Way Wool Clothing
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I think about wearing wool all that comes to mind is the time when I was 9 and my Aunt gave me a beautiful sweater that she had shrunk. It was wool, it was super thick and heavy. Worst of all it was scratchy. It scratched my sensitive skin so bad that one wearing was all I ever got out of that sweater. Since then I have never even attempted to wear wool again.
Never in my wildest dreams did I even think that there was wool clothing out there that looked like the stuff being sold at Ramblers Way. This stuff looks amazing! It is made of superfine 18.5 micron Rambouillet wool. To me the appearance of the clothing is light and airy and it in no way resembles the wool I imagine in my mind.
Ramblers Way offers base layer clothing as well as under garments. Some of the base layers definitely look as though they could be worn alone. Their wool is 100% made in America, it is also earth and animal friendly. Their clothing is machine washable and dryable, it resists shrikage and will keep it’s shape. The best part is that it is chemical free and won’t irritate the skin, perfect for people like me with very sensitive skin.
